The Icy Chameleon by Arhonda Luman

Shards of lightning split the sky

The moon in soft splendor fled.

Claps of Thunder boasted strength,

a sound that filled hearts with dread.

ascending from  the heavensice storm

Tenacious fingers of ice

Teased the earth with its caress

A tactic that was concise

                                                                    The earth’s majestic beauty

winter wonderlandhid in a frozen cocoon,

and struggled beneath the weight

 to listen to  winter’s tune

Destruction, was camouflaged,winter fairy

with  twinkling  prisms of light

but  watched in fascination,

as fairies enjoyed the night
